Welcome

G’day everyone,

Welcome to the site. We’re still in the process of putting it together but hopefully there will be a bit of everything here when we’re done, from a little backstage news about The Wiggles to updates about other projects, and I’d love to share a little news from time to time about my family.

The big focus at the moment is on my book, How I Got My Wiggle Back, which is about to be released in North America, Australia and New Zealand (and other territories in the near future).

The book is a memoir, detailing my personal journey, from childhood to now and capturing some of the adventures I’ve had on the road over nearly 30 years – first in Australia with my brothers Paul and John in a rock ‘n’ roll band and then all over the world with The Wiggles.

Happily I’m still making those ‘memories’ with The Wiggles, so the story isn’t over yet, but I felt compelled to write the book in part because of what I learned in the course of battling extreme health and fitness challenges during those years on the road.

To put it simply, I’m lucky to be alive today.

I had decades of chronic physical pain (back, neck and legs), suffered from clinical depression, digestive issues and chronic fatigue symptoms. In the course of playing more than 300 shows a year and battling illness off stage, I lost nearly all my teeth and developed a lingering infection that was potentially fatal.

The good news – and the reason I wanted to get this info out there – is I overcame these issues with the assistance of a bunch of great people, especially two very innovative chiropractors, who basically did the impossible with me.

Healthy for the first time in a quarter of a century, I decided to build on the new lease of life I’d been given to develop a fitness routine that has me in the best shape ever.

What became apparent to me as the fog of ill health lifted was the non-drug methods of the chiropractors, Dr. James Stoxen and Dr. Richard Gringeri, weren’t just lifesavers for me — they could turn around the lives of millions who suffer from chronic pain and other ailments.

There is more about their respective approaches on this site, but bottom line is they look at the body a little differently to others and take a holistic approach to diagnosis, treatment and ultimately training the patient.

I know what it’s like to spend decades looking for answers to health issues and being frustrated at just about every turn.

But the remarkable thing is I now know, after a couple of decades of searching, that the answers are out there – they are rooted in science and easily applied to those of all fitness levels.

If you get a look at the book, I hope there are a few laughs in there for you and perhaps a bit of insight into how we do what we do with The Wiggles. But you don’t need to know much about us in order to take away a lot of precious health information.

Thanks for dropping by. Come back regularly as we’ll be putting up material from time to time that will enhance what is in the book.

Meanwhile, keep Wiggling!

Anthony

    Anthony,

Mom of 6 here, located in the US. Saw your book and as all of my kids have grown up with the Wiggles, I thought I’d read what you had to say.

Thing is I started recognizing some of my chronic, “life’age” symptoms in what you described. Hmmm, I decided to get some minimalist shoes and give them a try (even though my Dr’s had told me to get a “cushioned shoe w/at least 1 inch heel” for my tendinitis.

Within two days, I barely notice my tendinitis (and this from the woman who could barely walk each morning as I got out of bed.

Methinks you are on to something here, just ordered a chinup bar to start the next phase.

Thanks for the entertainment over the years and thanks for spreading the word about good health opportunities.

    Wendy

Looking forward to reading how you fixed your back and legs. I suffer from back issues, and will likely have surgery to fix me up. I will be working on getting back into shape after that is done though. Pain drains you physically and emotionally. I think people do not realize that. Thank you for writing the book with Greg, and sharing your story with us. Thank you also for writing this blog, giving us more insights into all of this.
